Women's Wellness Expo

Women’s Expo raises over $1000 for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation

The 2005 Women’s Wellness Expo held on Saturday, October 8 raised over $1000 in contributions for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The event was attended by approximately 250 people.

The Women’s Expo offered information, products and services relating to women’s health and wellness.

The 2005 Women’s Wellness Expo was organized and sponsored by local owners of Curves fitness and weight loss centers.

The Women's Wellness Expo is a non-profit event and fundraiser for Komen Maryland, the Maryland affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  A silent auction will be held with all proceeds going to Komen Maryland.  Six one year memberships to Curves fitness and weight loss centers will be auctioned along with many more exciting products and services.  In addition, this event will offer information on health issues, wellness, fitness, nutrition, fashion, health services and much more.  Komen Maryland will provide the keynote address and there will be additional guest speakers (see topics and schedule below) during the day.  The event will offer health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol and body composition.  Other activities will include massage therapy, reflexology and workouts on the Curves exercise circuit.  Food and refreshments will be available for purchase.  WTTR radio will broadcast live from the event in the morning.
